Australian Pain and Psychology Report 2020
For Psychology Week 2020, the Australian Psychological Society and Australian College of Applied Psychology have undertaken a comprehensive, nationwide survey of more than 1000 Australians that confirms the extent and impact of pain in our society.
The survey revealed more than 1 in 3 Australians are living with chronic pain, but many people aren’t aware that treatment and support from a psychologist can help them to live better, more comfortable lives.
The research was approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Australian College of Applied Psychology (approval #599290520).
